One thing is for sure … if I didn’t realise it was day 8 of lockdown yesterday, I wouldn’t have known it was Friday!
So, what happened this week? I am lucky that I can at least do some of my office work even while I am in lockdown. I also caught up with a quite a few movies on Showmax. I love movies in different genres and Showmax does not disappoint, because I find movies from Faith, to romance and comedy, as well as crime and investigation. Sometimes I’ll watch a good action movie too. Braven I purely watched to see the super hot Jason Momoa!

I started playing online SCRABBLE GO and am enjoying it very much. First day of playing I got a private message: Hello Dear! Oh, my word, what was this all about? Next question was where I was from and the second question if I was single! Here I was, innocently wanting to play SCRABBLE and had already 5 winning games (out of 5 – I might add) and I get the “are you single”-question! Mr John Whatever-your-surname-is, there are dating sites for singles.
I have a few regulars that I play SCRABBLE with and sometimes I play three or four games at once. Quite challenging. You won’t necessarily finish a game on the same day it starts due to the time difference and you have SCRABBLE mates from across the globe. I have joined up with an old friend from high school and the two of us are challenging each other really well. I plan my words in advance where I see gaps, and you won’t know how many times she “steals” my best options before I can use it. Well done, Kaz. You keep me on my toes.
Yesterday was also the day that I realised that my Comfort Blanket was short of the purple Anja-square. This is a must-have square in the blanket, which now means that I have to frog the four rows of the edge and a part of one of the rows to insert the purple Anja-square. Someone else pointed out that the two heart squares are also not showing in the right direction. I never noticed it, but what if that is exactly what I planned?
No, I didn’t plan it … more frogging to do! ☹
My second four days seemed less active than the first four, but I did sort out two kitchen cupboards, a part of my wardrobe and some filing. Not too shabby, I might say. No photos here …
Oh, yes, I knitted some rows on my blue Fisherman’s rib jersey, as well. Slowly but surely, one stitch at a time, I will finish that too. If you ever hear that I have started to knit another jersey, please hit me over the head with something!

Cooking, at some stage, forms part of the day. I am running out of ideas and realised lockdown is a lot more expensive than being at work! That’s for sure!
And then there was a FaceBook challenge to place a photo of now and one in school. I chose a school photo where I was 12 years old … way too many years in between! 😀
Our group of seven writers are all busy doing their thing and I cannot wait to get their work back from them to read and edit where (and if) necessary. Initially this weekend would have been our writers’ weekend at the beautiful Canetsfontein, but that has moved to somewhere during May this year … provided that all will be okay by that time and that the Corona-virus will be contained.

So, what have you been up to these last few days? Do you feel that these last eight days was spent well? I won’t bore you with a daily update, but will definitely let you know in a few days if I am still surviving or wanting to jump off the roof!
Isolation greetings,
Surene
